In this episode I have a conversation with Dr. Lila Estephan who is one of the core founders of the Public Health Alliance of Belize. One of their main research topics is that of tobacco. When we think of tobacco, more often that not we only think about the way in which it affects the physical health of the smokers and second-hand smokers. In reality, there is so much more to tobacco, hence the reason why this year's theme for World No Tobacco Day (May 31) was Grow Food, Not Tobacco. We dive a bit into the other ways in which it affects the world on a whole, ranging from deforestation to mental health.
