During Sunday’s Feast of Tabernacles celebration, Pastor Omar provided powerful spiritual insight into the story of Lot’s wife, as revealed in Jasher Chapter 19. He explored the deeper meaning behind her actions and the importance of names, showing how the names we give our children can shape their futures. Pastor Omar urged parents to raise their children with God’s Word, teaching them to live in the world but not be consumed by it—a mistake Lot’s wife made, as she raised her daughters to love the world.

Lot’s wife’s decision to look back at Sodom and Gomorrah was rooted in her attachment to the world. Tragically, her daughters refused to leave, and her glance backward resulted in her transformation into a pillar of salt.

Pastor Omar also highlighted another story from the Book of Jasher, where a stranger begged for food, only to be given gold and silver with no one willing to sell him food. Paltith, Lot's compassionate daughter, secretly gave him bread out of pity, and though her act of kindness cost her life, it stood as a testament to righteousness in a city full of wickedness.

This message reminds us of the importance of living intentionally—choosing God's ways over the world and raising the next generation to do the same.
