• A tornado touched down in New Castle County, Delaware Thursday night, officials confirmed, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby continue to move through the region.
• Thursday brought pockets of heavy rain throughout the region after heavy rain earlier in the week. Now with severe storms spinning off from Tropical Storm Debby hitting the region on Friday, Burlington County residents who saw flood conditions earlier this week are hoping for a better outcome this time around.

• The leader of an animal shelter in Ocean City, New Jersey says some tough conversations on commitment and responsibility need to be had, as animals are being dropped off without notice not only at his shelter but many others in the county.

• For a second time this week, thieves broke into refrigerated cargo trucks parked outside the Food Distribution Center in South Philadelphia. A shipment of tuna valued at thousands of dollars was stolen in the latest incident early Thursday morning.

• Philadelphia Eagles legend and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Nick Foles announced his retirement on social media on Thursday.
