Machine learning is quite a hot-topic of research right now, with many different offshoots linking it to other fields of research. Scott Cambo, today's guest, studies the intersection of machine learning and human-computer interaction. In particular, he's interested in how mobile self-tracking (think FitBit) user design can increase healthy behaviors and how those apps can use better machine learning algorithms to provide more useful feedback.
