Gina Chung's raw, yet delicate debut novel Sea Change answers the question "what do you do when your boyfriend dumps you for a mission to Mars, your only source of comfort is an octopus that lives at the mall, your relationship with your mother grows worse by the day, and you can't seem to move forward in life?" Chung ultimately has written a story about humans, our relationships with each other, and what it really means to take control of your life.
