In this episode, we discuss the orphan train using accounts from a historical nonfiction book called “Orphan Train Rider” by Andrea Warren. This book primarily follows the memories of Lee Nailling, who rode an orphan train in 1926 as a nine-year-old child. We also discuss how openness, honesty, and connecting to roots can make a difference in the lives of individuals who experience adoption.
