The 86-year-old director recently hinted that the upcoming flick might be his final work behind the camera but has now suggested that it likely won't be the case.

At the Cannes Film Festival, when asked if the film would mark his final project, Loach replied, "One day at a time. If you wake up in the morning and you're not in the obituary column, you're living one day at a time." The director also emphasized the importance of young filmmakers entering the industry and ensuring those in power are held accountable.

Loach revealed, "It's not up to the directors and the authors whether they can make films; now the doors are closing for young people who want to address the issues of their time with a political understanding that differs from just a social understanding. That's a significant difference because political understanding means challenging those in power, using money when their system doesn't support films that should challenge them." Ken hinted last month that he didn't expect to make another film because he considered himself too old for it.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Ken disclosed, "Movies take a few years, and I'm going to be almost 90 soon. And your skills are declining. Your short-term memory is diminishing, and my eyesight is currently pretty bad, so it is quite difficult."
