I'm stoked to be hanging out with one of my dearest friends Pastor Steve McCarty. And for this episode, we find ourselves chilling in Pastor Steve's truck—escaping a blazing 95-degree heat and the relentless leaf blower buzz we didn't expect near our initial meeting place. But that's what we're all about—improvising and going with the flow here on Off The Cuff! :)
Pastor Steve's story is one of the most engaging I've encountered to date. We chat about his time in Costa Rica—where he and his family began their journey as missionaries. We discuss language hurdles; cultural experiences; and some of the things that we Americans often take for granted. We also dive into the beginnings of Faith Community Fellowship, the church he founded back in 2006—which is still going strong today with a local and global impact!
