Former President Donald Trump has filed a motion to claim immunity in the Florida documents case. In light of the recent Supreme Court ruling, the former president's legal team asked for more time to submit additional arguments on immunity.

President Joe Biden has vowed to stay in the race during a campaign rally in Madison, Wisconsin. His campaign said the president has an "aggressive travel schedule" this month.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled to allow the widespread use of unstaffed ballot drop boxes in the November elections. This reversed the court's own ruling from 2022 that previously banned such drop boxes.

Keir Starmer has officially become the UK's new prime minister after his Labour Party secured a landslide election victory. Mr. Starmer has formed a new cabinet with 22 members. Outgoing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he will step down as leader of the Conservative Party.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. EU and NATO leaders distanced themselves from what Mr. Orban called a "peace mission" to end the Russia–Ukraine war.
