This episode covers the mid-70's turning point for the Posse Comitatus, where they transitioned from Mike Beach's veneer of legitimacy back to the violent rhetoric of Bill Gale. We focus on two men crucial to this moment: Thomas Stockheimer, the man who assaulted IRS Agent Fred Chicken and went on to pepper spray several police officers, and Francis Earl Gillings, the unemployed gas station operator who fired the first shot in the Posse's war against the rule of law.
