The Louisiana House of Representatives has voted to eliminate the state’s film and TV tax credit. The incentives cultivated film and television productions across the state. “The governor’s office has proposed that with the phasing out of this film tax credit, it would look different moving forward. And it would be almost like a grant program to where you would apply through Louisiana Economic Development.” Representative District 4 Joy Walters said. Jason Waggenspack, President of Film Louisiana, joins Newell to discuss why the tax credit is on the chopping block.
