Abby Rosebrock is a New York-based actress and writer from South Carolina. She graduated from Columbia University, where she taught writing on a literature fellowship and earned a doctorate in English.

Abby’s plays have been produced or read at Cherry Lane, Playwrights Horizons, Ensemble Studio Theatre, IRT, Littlefield, Naked Radio, The Flea, INTAR, and more. Excerpts from her play DIFFERENT ANIMALS appear in best-of anthologies by Smith & Kraus and Applause. Her webseries MY EX IS TRENDING, co-created with Layla Khoshnoudi and Jennifer Wilson, is produced by Control Top TV. Recent acting credits include plays by Mac Wellman (Clubbed Thumb/Playwrights Horizons), Christopher Sullivan (EST), and Chiara Atik (womentheshow.com).

Abby has been a recipient of an EST/Sloan Foundation commission and a finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. She is a proud member of the TV- and new media-writers’ collective at The Tank NYC and the Obie Award-winning Youngblood Playwriting Group at Ensemble Studio Theatre.

Abby’s latest play, SINGLES IN AGRICULTURE, is a dark, erotic comedy that takes place at an annual dating convention for American farmers. It premiered this June at The Brick in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and will go up at Dixon Place in September.
