Most of this music was composed on keyboards and computers to accompany modern dance performances, though some is for video or installations. This digital music may be characterized as electroacoustic musique concrète using MIDI, electronics, samples, field recordings, and live interactive additions; some of it sounds almost as if it were made on real acoustic musical instruments.
