- Select the proper leather crupper.
- Proper adjustment of the crupper/britchen.
- Use bridle leather for your crupper - Biothane and Nylon do not warm up with elasticity and flexibility like leather does.
- Weight & Ability of the Rider - using the proper seat and leg will help your mule maintain his balance and footing on the trail.
- Crupper or Breeching? Just remember breeching has more straps and more risk of chafing than does a crupper.
