„It’s the kids that impact me the most. And it will continue so. And I will fight for those kids“

In this heartfelt and vulnerable segment with Co-Hosts Prince Heather, Scott, and our audience member Becky, we delved into the topic of illegally deported Ukrainian children to Russia. Those who've endured the horrors of war, witnessed their families torn apart, saw loved ones die right before their eyes, or tragically lost them on the frontlines fighting for freedom and sovereignty. It's a sobering reminder of the harsh realities faced by so many innocent souls caught up in Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine.

Our listener Becky shared her story of adopting two kids from Russia, shedding light on the trauma and mental struggles of these children; alongside Prince Heather, who shared her personal experiences, struggles and thoughts being adopted herself.

We also discussed the importance of documentation. Medical records, birth certificates, and more—these seemingly mundane pieces of paper can hold the key to a child's identity, their history, and their future. Yet, for many of these children, such documentation is lost or destroyed amidst the chaos of war or deliberately changed.

The number of illegally deported children from Ukraine to Russia remains unknown and will likely never be known. It is important we keep shedding light on it, fighting for every single child to come back to Ukraine.
