This is an overview of “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz. Stemming from ancient Toltec wisdom, Ruiz suggests these four agreements are what can guide one to a place of personal freedom. As we grow from childhood, we develop an unconscious set of instructions for living life. According to Ruiz, many of these unconscious beliefs are arbitrary or false. The key to freedom is to become aware of these limiting thought patterns and to replace them with these agreements. You can almost use this book as a guide for self prescribed cognitive-behavioral therapy. What do you think about that? How could you apply these principles to your own dream of life?
