Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. He joined Caroline in 1977, touring the country with the Caroline Roadshow for 10 years, having great fun. Barry helped with tender trips and worked on the Ross Revenge in '84 and '85. ...

Brought on my good friend and former bandmate, Paul Banks, to talk about some special songs. We actually taped this while watching Game 7 of the World Series, and when we wrapped, hustled over to Deep Eddy bar during the rain delay to catch the ending. One week later, the file was still on the editing room floor when I read the news of Leonard Cohen's passing. Paul says that his last song selection, a cover of a Cohen song, is his favorite song ever. I decided to tack on the original version at the end of the podcast, because it is such a beautiful song, and I'm glad Paul was able to share that.
