Marietta man dies abroad in Panama, family struggling to bring his body home
A 50-year-old Marietta man named Adrian Bennett, known for his jovial personality and long-term employment with FedEx, tragically died while vacationing in Panama.
His family has been desperately trying to repatriate his body back to Georgia for the past three weeks. Bennett reportedly fell from a balcony and died from head injuries.
Initially, the family struggled to locate where his body had been taken, but after numerous phone calls, they identified the morgue holding him. However, proving their relationship to Bennett became another hurdle as the morgue demanded original documents, not copies. Here is family relative Carlos Smith on trying to bring Adrian home:

The family is now racing against time, as they were informed that if Bennett's body isn't claimed within 30 days, Panama can decide what to do with his remains. The family has reached out to various entities, including the FBI, the State Department, and several senators for help.
