One challenge that a lot of home sellers are having in this hot Atlanta real estate market (and in other hot markets in the US) is that people are making offers on houses and then the house doesn't appraise for the sales price. If you're the person selling the house, that can be a big problem.
Learn about how appraisals work after you go under contract, what are the possible scenarios relative to appraisals and what happens if the house does not appraise for the sales price or mortgage amount.
