Organizations come together to host panel series about violence and harassment in politics

On November 19th, the first of three panels about violence and harassment in politics will take place. It will detail the barriers women, and gender diverse politicians face at all levels. Several organizations have pulled together to make this happen, one of them is Nova Scotia's Be the Peace Institute, which is a non-profit dedicated to ending gender based violence, to ultimately achieve gender equity and social justice. Host Jeff Douglas spoke with the organizations executive director, Sue Bookchin. She started by explaining where the idea for the panel series came from.
