One Common Myth or can easily be a limiting belief About Cultivating Spiritual Wellness: “Cultivating spiritual wellness requires perfection or being highly religious.” In reality: Spiritual wellness is not about being perfect or follow strictly religious rules. Instead, it’s about developing a personal connection with your faith, building relationship with God, finding meaning and purpose, and aligning your actions with your core values. It’s a journey, not a destination, and you can start where you are, no matter of your background or level of knowledge. Tool: Daily Reflection Journal. Use a journal to reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Write down moments of gratitude, prayers, or insights about your faith journey. This practice fosters self-awareness and helps you recognize spiritual growth over time. Strategy: Start Small with Consistent Practices. Begin with small, manageable actions to cultivate spiritual wellness, such as setting aside 5-10 minutes each day for prayer or reading scripture. Overwhelm and Mental Clarity : “Why do I constantly feel overwhelmed, like my mind is racing, and I can’t focus on what truly matters?” Tool: “Unplug & Reflect” Journal Prompt - Take 10 minutes daily to disconnect from devices and distractions. Ask yourself: “What am I feeling right now? What do I need in this moment?” Strategy: Scheduled Awareness Breaks Set 2–3 daily reminders to pause, breathe, and check in with your thoughts and emotions. Use this time to refocus and realign with your priorities. Tool: Mind Dump Exercise – Write down every thought, worry, or task on paper to clear mental clutter and identify priorities. This exercise can be done daily, weekly, or whenever you feel your mind is too crowded. Take a few minutes, grab a pen and paper, and let your thoughts flow freely—no judgment, no structure, no overthinking, just release. Strategy: Use ‘ The Rule of 3’ – Once everything is on paper, review your list, highlight priorities, circle only 3 main things from your list and take small, actionable steps to move forward. Set just three main priorities, ladies, for the day to reduce overwhelm and improve focus. I’m excited to share that I’ve graduated from the Christian Leadership Life Coaching program and received 50 hours of coaching and audits, becoming a certified coach. It took time to figure out my niche, but through my experiences as a wife, mother, and survivor of drug addiction and human trafficking, I realized I have a deep passion for helping women navigate major life transitions. Faith has been my foundation, sustaining and protecting me, but I wouldn’t have made it without the support of other women. Now, I want to be that support for others, reminding women that they are not alone, that they are loved, significant, and that their lives are valuable. My guest says: “I would like to speak on life after the life and the navigation to freedom from sexual slavery, how the church was used to meet me in my darkest place.” Joining me today is Amber Love. Amber is a third generation survivor of sex trafficking. She lived a hard life that lead her to a church prepared to denounce her faith in a God who would allow such terrible things to happen and instead, He met her in her mess and has walked with her through the pain into the victory of freedom in Him. Now Amber works for Safe House Project, a national anti trafficking organization, charging their faith initiative to mobilize the faith community to join the fight against trafficking. On today’s episode Amber is going to share: 1) Navigation to freedom from sexual slavery. 2) The church was used to meet her in my darkest place. 3) The work she is doing with Safe House Project. Julie is a Bramalea Alliance Church -Children Pastor. Julie was born in Northern Ireland and came to Canada when she was 9 years old. She grew up in a Christian home and at age 7 accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. She married David in 1994 and has two handsome boys. In January 2006, Julie's brother, Warren was killed by a drunk driver. Her favourite hymn is "GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS" because despite all that she has gone through, God is good and is faithful to His promises. Julie has a BA in Psychology as well she has taken some Tyndale courses specific to Children's Ministry. In February 2019, Julie became an Ordained Pastor through the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Canada. She has a Certificate in Biblical Care and Counselling as well as a certificate in Transformational Coaching.
