Morley King työskenteli ja asui vaimonsa Helenin kanssa Kalifornian San Luis Obisponin hotellissa. Kun Helen löydettiin kuolleena ja Morley oli kadonnut eikä hänestä löydetty jälkeäkään, lisäsi FBI hänet etsityimpien rikollisten listalle.
