Cam Ward went 21-32 for 319 yards and four touchdown passes- with no turnovers- and a ton of big plays that made the difference in #6 Miami’s 52-45 win at Louisville that pushed their record to 7-0.

Ward’s magical season school-record seventh consecutive 300-yard passing game. He is the only Miami QB EVER to throw for 300+ yards and 3+ TD’s in each of his first seven games. Ward also broke the Hurricanes record for consecutive 300-yard games most recently held by Tyler Van Dyke in 2021. Ward is four away from the Miami all-time record for 300-yard games, (11) shared by Van Dyke and Brad Kaaya.

The ‘Canes running game really came up big today as well, rushing for 219 yards. Ajay Allen scored from two yards out early in the fourth quarter, and Damien Martinez added a high-reel 30-yard TD run late.

The Hurricanes (7-0, 3-0 ACC) are off to their best start since they went 10-0 in 2017.

Louisville was a game opponent, and they would not go away. QB Tyler Shough was brilliant, completing 31 of 51 passes for 342 yards and four scores.

Xavier Restropo had nine catches for 101 yards and a TD, and Jacolby George and Brown each caught scoring passes for the 'Canes, as Miami outgained Louisville 538-448.

Cam was brilliant all game- avoiding the rush, buying time, finding his guys and putting the ball right on the money, as the nation's top offense continued doing what it does with a balanced attack that also rushed for 219 yards.
