The Lord’s prayer is often seen as a traditional formal prayer. But for Jesus this couldn’t be farther from the truth. Jesus gave a short prayer not a long one. A simple prayer not a complicated one. A powerful thoughtfully crafted pattern of talking to God that cuts to the core of the very essence of what the Christian Faith is all about. Jesus is intentionally teaching his disciples to talk to God is a way that is foreign to human nature, habit, human religions. As we continue to our series in Matthew and we Get to Jesus’ teaching the way to pray in Chapter 6.

- FORGIVE 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
