In recent years, there has been a growing trend of blaming parents for their children's mental health diagnoses. This phenomenon often stems from a desire to find a single cause or someone to hold responsible for the challenges faced by young individuals. However, it is essential to move away from this blame and shame cycle and approach mental health diagnoses in children with compassion, understanding, and a broader perspective. So please join me as we discuss why we are quick to point a finger when discussing mental health challenges and what we can do to end the stigma and shame surround mental health challenges.
