In this episode of 'Life Moves Pretty Fast', Tarquin Gotch and Hadley Freeman study 'Sixteen Candles', John Hughes' directorial debut. Starring Molly Ringwald, who'd go on to feature in three consecutive Hughes movies - and become something of a muse to him and a celebrity in her own right - it tells the story of a teenager's worst day.
