Hailing from Belarus, and based in Hanoi, Vietnam, producer and DJ Mishouju treats us with a project from overseas, filled with his signature broken electro sounds and deep hypnotizing 4-on-the-floor style that locks you into the dancefloor. “Memphis Electronic Inc.” is an inspired adventure into different sounds and genres like house, breaks, electro, dub & techno that is centered on Mishouju’s favorite hip-hop tunes growing up, mostly Memphis hip-hop. “Mishy Oi” starts us off with a cheeky reinterpretation of the New York hip hop classic “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” by Ol’ Dirty Bastard, with Mishouju injecting his signature style to a very familiar sample, creating a suspenseful build-up and worthy payoff thus, further enhancing an already ubiquitous song into a banger worthy of a club. Next up, “Beton Boots” is an emotional track that gives us a sentimental feeling of nostalgia, even if you aren’t familiar with the sampled “Cement Shoes” by DJ Spanish Fly, another Memphis hip-hop originator. "They Done, Fxxked Up” is a breaky rendition of Memphis legends Three 6 Mafia’s “Yeah, They Done Fucked Up”, using all kinds of percussion into delivering a hypnotic head nodder. Completing the project is a powerful remix of “Beton Boots” by Italian artist Lucretio. Filled with a filthy acid bassline and a driving kick, this remix is sure to rock your socks off.
