Cory has served over 20 years in the United States military between his enlisted time 1998- 2002 in the United States Marine Corps as a field radio operation, where he rose to the rank of Lance Corporal then transferred to the United States Army Reserves where from 2005 to 2015 he deployed 3 times where he was a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for a Transportation Company. His second deployment was as the Deputy Knowledge Management Officer. In his most recent deployment he was assigned to the Combined/Joint Task Force Operation.
