In my early days in recovery my mantra was You get what you need not what you want!
Recovery is not God as I understand Him, but rather dealing with who He actually is. The Devil is who you want to understand Him to be. God is who he says He is. God tells the truth deal with it and Live. The devil lies. Follow him and die forever. He will tell you what you want to hear. And he will feast on you forever.
I know this is tough stuff!
