Dr. Porres-Aguilar is a current Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he holds a National Board Certification of Anticoagulation Care Providers in the USA (NCBAP), is an academic Member of the International Society for Thrombosis and Heamostasis (ISTH), and he currently serves as an international representative in North America for the Mexican Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (SOMETH), and is part of the Latin-american chapter of Venous Thrombosis for the Latin-American Collaborative Group for Hemostasis and Thrombosis (Grupo CLAHT)
