Introduction to Intro and Outro. Reading and interpreting the disturbing Genesis 16. Abram, who'd been promised to have his seed outnumber the dust, the stars and the sands of the sea, has his wife Sarai reeling from not being able to bare children. In response, Sarai notices Hagar the maid could possibly help, so she sends Abram in to rape and impregnate her. But then Sarai feels bad because Hagar despises her. Abram and the Lord basically tell Sarai to do whatever she wants with Hagar. She runs Hagar off but then the Lord steps in for more nonsense. Connections are made between this chapter and current news with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Musician Dave Grohl and many others in the same boat as Abram.
