Self-care is anything healthy you to do be good to yourself. It’s about recognizing when you are physically, mentally or emotionally deficient and replenishing them rather than becoming exhausted. Far too often we find ourselves engaging in roadrunner living, and without thinking we put self-care on the back burner. The price of pursuing this lifestyle too long comes at a price of exhaustion or worse an adverse impact to our health and well-being. The benefits of self-care are more lasting, it improves confidence and self-esteem. It allows you to set healthy boundaries making yourself the priority. Every woman I knows struggles with making her needs a priority, it is the family, the kids, my spouse, what about you. Guess what you are entitled to more days than your birthday and Mother’s Day.
