Craig Paisley started working on Japanese performance cars in the 1980s during the early days of import racing and "tuner" culture. He opened his own business selling parts for modified Japanese cars and became very successful, eventually becoming the largest distributor in his region for brands like HKS. His current shop, World Motorsports, now specializes in modifying late model Porsche 911 Turbos, mainly building high horsepower packages for drag racing and half mile events. Their packages usually aim for 800-1000 horsepower through modifications like exhaust systems, upgraded turbos, engine tuning, meth injection systems, and built engines.
TOPICS:

  • Craig got his start working on Japanese performance cars in the 80s/90s during the early days of import racing
  • He opened his own parts business selling performance parts for Japanese cars
  • Eventually he transitioned to European cars like Porsche as he found he could charge higher labor rates
  • His shop now specializes in modifying Porsches, mainly late model 911 Turbos
  • They build high horsepower packages for drag racing and half mile events, usually around 800-1000hp
  • What Kind of Maintenance Do Highly Modified Porsches Require?
  • How the newer 992 Porsches drive differently than older ones due to more technology/computer controls
