Charlie & Jaron Lanier, pioneer of virtual reality, met in the late 1970s at Rip Hayman's famous Ear Inn in New York. Jaron worked on EAR Magazine and created a cover with New York’s subway stops as musical instrument play buttons. He jammed in the Ocarina Orchestra.
