If you’ve ever heard Karen Peck sing with her group New River, you already know how amazing she is on stage. Her story is even better. She would tell you she’s just a girl from Dahlonega, Georgia, who loves Jesus.
While that’s true, it’s also worth noting that she was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2018. She was inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2021. She served two terms (2009-2011) as the first woman president of the Southern Gospel Music Association. In 2012, she landed a role in a major film (Joyful Noise) that featured Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah. Later she had a role in the Pure Flix movie Redeemed. She has an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Divinity from Toccoa Falls College. Karen is a co-host for the popular tv show Gospel Music USA. She serves on the Board of Directors for Abraham Productions.
