Together, we're redefining what it means, looks and feels like, to be doing "woman's work" in the world today. With confidence and the occasional rant. From boardrooms to studios, kitchens to coding dens, we explore the multifaceted experiences of today's woman, confirming that the new definition of "woman's work" is whatever feels authentic, true, and right for you. We're shedding expectations, setting aside the "shoulds", giving our finger to the "supposed tos". We're torching the old playbook and writing our own rules. Who runs the world? You decide. If we understand what contributes to identity & how to shift those elements to create the identity we want, the next obvious question is “how do we use that to our advantage ?”. In this episode, we look at influence in terms of our own actions & how we can therefore influence the actions of others as a result of face to face and online transactions.

Phil and Ian are in VR for the first time discussing Writing Content. It's a surreal experience. For the full vision visit Human Hackers on LinkedIn or Visit HumanHackers.Live
A Hackers episode with a difference, David Spinks talks to us about community and his recent book "The Business of Belonging". This is a turning point for Human Hackers as we begin to throw out anything that remotely sounds like a "normal" podcast. David had a chat with Ian and Phil originally and then we set about putting together David's best quotes to music. A really interesting and fun process. David Spinks book is available at all worthy book stores for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!…
On this episode we are joined by Violeta Balhas who discusses the art of storytelling and how intrinsic it is in the human story itself. How it enables us to connect and how it holds us together. There are also lashings of how storytelling can be utilised in content strategy and business promotion. This is a journey and a half and another delightful set of insights you may not expect.…
The story of Planet Exo is an unexpected sub-cast if you will that runs parallel to the regular Human Hackers podcast episodes. In Chapter 1, Episode 1 we meet the Mad Scientist for the first time.
Sharing an adventure with Phil & Ian, your fellow future makers, has always meant taking some twists and turns. But here's a twist you may not be expecting. This is the beginning of a new chapter of Human Hackers. This is the part where we break out and seek new ground. Introducing...Planet Exo.
On this episode we are joined by special guest Matt De Waard, who combines his emergency response experience with photography. How do you capture meaning and convey the story and the emotion of the moment in one shot? We ask Matt what's involved and why it's so important. How do you set the right expectations for your customers through your branding and marketing efforts? How do you get the essence of what they will experience across online?…
Our special guest Brady Craig discusses how we struggle with our limiting beliefs. It's not surprising that this is one of the top issues his clients face as he helps them bust down the barriers and guides them on the path to a more empowered life.
"What the hell happened" gives a tip of the iceberg view of moving from normal to chaos and to new normal. Phil and Ian discuss designing your life in a post corona world and what actions you can take right now to see the opportunities to reinvent and capitalise on recent events.
The massive disruption of the Corona Virus is a defining moment for all of us. Phil reflects on how our world has been structured and how it may be different in the "Post-Corona" world.
Ian & Phil chat about what it takes to become super productive in terms of managing our own attention. The tendency of entrepreneurs to naturally require (demand) ongoing stimulus in order to be satisfied and that results in less than productive outcomes is discussed. Technology is a major contributor to this distractionary impact on production. Phil rolls out the concept of considering Space rather than Time as a way of not only setting a point in which production can occur but maximising the space in which it occurs to manage the otherwise distractionary elements. People naturally lose track of time when they are performing at their best – their focus/concentration is at its highest. This has been proven years ago with “Flow” research – where outcomes were defined at loss of self consciousness, intense focus & time distortion. Phil highlights how the drive & freedom to act within this space is also critical. A further requirement of the space itself is the accessibility of tools needed to create & produce within the space. These tools tend to be idiosyncratic, favouring the particular sensory/expressive preferences of the individual. Within the space itself it is also important to have a framework from which to work – a way of navigating to know if you are getting closer to the intended outcomes. Ian also highlights the value that orchestrating the right space produces from a welfare perspective. Being able to focus on a task & produce satisfying results actually supports the human energy & results in positive impacts outside of the persons workplace.…
Ian talks about the importance of "Earned Influence" for a sustainable business and online presence.
