Cultural appropriation is the borrowing of an element of another culture, character, or identity. We scorn the un-permitted borrowing of certain types of wardrobes, but we allow the self-adoption of mental illness, disability, and certain words and phrases? If our identity is appropriated, but it's something we hold near and dear, are we appropriators, or are we in the clear? Let's find out.
