Aaron and the little Happy Thanksgiving poem
Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day! This is message #199 and I am Aaron Havens.
I’ll be frying a turkey for our thanksgiving feast so it’s fitting to name this little poem:
Reflections by the Fryer
Two days past fifty, here I sit,
By the fryer’s warmth, where moments knit.
The turkey sizzles, slow and low,
A Thanksgiving feast in golden glow.
The air is crisp, the sun just right,
A day to savor, pure delight.
I pause to reflect, my heart so full,
On life’s rich blessings, its constant pull.
Family’s laughter, friends so near,
The joys of leading through each year.
A company thriving, a purpose clear,
These gifts remind me why I’m here.
Life’s been great—each twist, each turn,
From lessons tough to triumphs earned.
Now at fifty, I stand with pride,
Hopeful for all the years that bide.
Quinquagenarian—that word so grand,
Marks a new chapter, a steady hand.
The fryer hums, the turkey sings,
Gratitude flies on thankful wings.
So here’s to this life, to love and stride,
And thanks to all who’ve joined the ride.
Thanks for calling in today. Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic. What’s your poem? What are you thankful for today? I’ll drop a beat for you… you take it from here!
