Almost exactly a year ago, I read an article on Marieclaire.com called On Thin Ice: Can the Fashion Industry Help Save the Planet? I was almost immediately convinced that I had to take the family to Alaska to go and see these glaciers for ourselves. I wanted the kids to experience it...before they were gone. We decided the most practical way (there's a backstory here) was by cruise. Sustainability feature - not likely, but if you've ever thought about making the journey, this is one way. There was so much to do, and we saw so much. I recount some of our journey, and some of the emotions along the way here.
