Episode eleven of God Talks To An Agnostic, a twelve-part audio play series presented by The Wilbury Theatre Group, in collaboration with AFRI Productions, and The Public's Radio.
Written and directed by Don Mays and pitted against the backdrop of the racial and cultural issues of today and featuring Rose Weaver, this innovative twelve-part audio play is a compelling exploration of the impact of religion on race, Black culture and a collective need for faith in something larger than ourselves.​ God Talks To An Agnostic is written and directed by Don Mays, with sound design by Andy Russ, production management by Annalee Cavallaro, and music contributions by Ashley Frith, The Colemanation Group with Edgar Diaz, and The Watsons Gospel Choir.
The production features performances by Don Mays, Rose Weaver, Jackie Davis, Rudy Ru Cabrera, Pamela Lambert, Daraja Hinds, Jason Quinn, Jeff Hodge, Tânia Montenegro, Cilla Bento, Mindy Britto, Lorraine Guerra, Emmanuel Versailles, Lia Pinto, and Becci Davis.God Talks to An Agnostic is produced by The Wilbury Theatre Group in collaboration with AFRI Productions and presented by The Public’s Radio. It’s supported by the Rhode Island Foundation’s Bannister Black Philanthropy Fund, and an Engagement, Services, and Resiliency grant from the Rhode Island Dept. of Commerce. All episodes of God Talks to An Agnostic were recorded at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
