Episode 39 Pt2 Teaching Writing is Like Coaching the High Jump
Manage episode 390472962 series 3540087
Here is Part 2 where we will relate that high jump session to writing instruction!
Identifying a jumper's bar height, understanding their approach, observing and analyzing their jump, identifying a foundational skill, demonstrating a skill, allowing for practice and providing feedback all happened in one training session!
Each part of that session correlates to a variety of components in writing such as: identifying a student's writing level of ability, understanding their writing identity and how they plan, observing their process, analyzing data, identifying a foundational skill, demonstration, practice and feedback!
I can't wait to hear what resonates with you after listening to this episode:)
