Pastor Karl reflects on the tragic final chapters of the Book of Judges, where the Israelites, in their misguided efforts to punish the tribe of Benjamin, end up causing even more destruction. He discusses the consequences of sin when left unchecked, showing how it affects not only the individual but others as well. Pastor Karl emphasizes the importance of seeking God’s will, rather than doing what seems right in our own eyes.
He reminds the congregation that the Book of Judges serves as a warning about the pervasiveness of sin, and how it can spiral out of control when not dealt with. Pastor Karl encourages everyone to stay close to God, surrendering their hearts to Him, and to always seek His guidance, recognizing that God’s ways are always higher than our own.
