This podcast is a space where we talk directly to practitioners about how they are providing care to vulnerable children and families around the world.

At Family for Every Child we are a network of 40 local civil society organisations working on the ground in 36 countries, and these organisations have a wealth of knowledge and experience from years of working with children and communities to develop solutions to improve children’s care.

This is our second interview on the topic of 'Care during COVID-19'. Which has seriously highlighted the gross inequalities that exist globally not only between countries but within countries. Even in well resourced countries such as the UK, which will be our focus today, some families and children have experienced incredible hardships, domestic violence has gone up significantly, financial pressures have increased and the ability to maintain education from a home environment has proved deeply challenging.
One of our Member organisations based in the UK is The Mulberry Bush. They have a school which provides specialist residential therapeutic care, treatment and education for children aged 5-13 from across England and Wales, who are made vulnerable by their severe social, emotional and behavioural issues. I am very pleased to be joined today by John Turberville, who is the COO at The Mulberry Bush. Welcome John, and thank you very much for joining me in this conversation.
