Hey, friends welcome to another bonus track episode on Everybody Speaks Music and today's a special one, you're gonna get to hear my recent training session with Ean Kramer. Ean was on our show a few weeks ago and he graciously invited me to come to his dojo and train. Now as awesome as that sounds, it comes with a bunch of anticipation nerves, and I wanted to capture that part of the journey. So as soon as I hopped in the van, I hit record. And it was interesting to just process my thoughts. Normally, I'd be meditating, listening to some calm music, or doing something to take my mind off of it. So recording this episode was great because it leapt deep into my subconscious, all the warts and all the embarrassing moments are there for you to laugh about. And then we recorded the aftermath. What happened after my two hour training session, and I really hope you get a lot of value out of that. Because often I find as a musician, it's best to look outside of my craft to pick up new tips and tricks. So whether that's looking into athletics, or business, or any other domain, I can take those concepts and bring them back into how I approach my practicing, and how I approach my growth as a musician. And Ean does an amazing job of laying out the parallels between martial arts and music. He uses the analogy of the body as being the instrument. And I think you're gonna find a lot of interesting parallels there. And at the very end of the episode, I'm also going to attach a clip of Ean, where he did a follow up from the episode he wanted to dive even deeper into the parallels of music and martial arts. So I hope you enjoyed today's bonus episode. Thanks for listening. And don't forget to go out and and face your fears, do the things that you really want to do, even if they feel uncomfortable. We all feel that natural resistance to doing things that are new, and uncomfortable. But I can tell you from this experience with in how much pain intention of properly guided training session could actually remove from my body. Thanks again.
