The music classroom is a site of power. It's reflected in the privilege of being able to attend, the hierarchies that form amongst learners and teachers, and in the imbalance of cultures represented. Why do we teach what we teach, and who does it serve? Join us as we examine the powers that shape music curricula, and discuss the movement towards music education that better represents diverse realities.
