This is part 2 of episode 3 - Siddons chats with Dr. Umut Ozek, Principal Researcher with the Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research Program at the American Institutes for Research. You can find him on twitter @uozek

Dr. Özek’s research interests include immigrant students, implementation and consequences of educational accountability, design and effects of school choice programs, and value-added measurement. We talk about his experience as a parent - first hand in dealing with the pandemic at home with his own children - Dr. Ozek’s children attend Fairfax County Public Schools - With over 185,000 students enrolled, FCPS is the largest public school system in Virginia, and the 12th largest in the nation.
