On Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast this week, hosts Geordie & Michelle look at the dodgy side of debt collecting & the origin story behind the TV show Mind Hunter…

We all like money but it's a bummer when you have to pay back a loan. This week, Michelle looks at debt hunters and asks the question: do bad things happen to debt collectors? In January 2011, Martin Ithell went to the home of Scott Davidson and Rachel Horton to collect on a debt - but things didn't go to plan. Find out why Scott and Rachel bought plastic sheeting, why Martin had mates round the corner and what really happened to Martin.

Geordie then dives into the real-life events that inspired the TV series Mind Hunter... In 2017, Netflix released the psychological crime thriller, Mind Hunter, where FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench interview serial killers in jail to delve into the psychology behind why they kill in order to create a psychological profile and help solve current murder cases. Thing is, the series is based on real-life people and research conducted by the FBI. Listen now to hear the origin story behind the show!

So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week’s episode, plus chat about telly recs, cocktails and more, only on Eavesdroppin’ podcast. And remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin’!
