Today on the podcast, Sarah Kolis speaks with hairstylist Carleana DeLaCruz, the owner of Hairpins and Happiness, a bridal beauty business! When she is not on site at weddings, she can be found behind the chair at the studio she rents in East Lansing, Michigan.
In this episode, Sarah and Carleana discuss hair tips for the day of their wedding, how far in advance to plan what style you want on your wedding day, choosing a hairstyle based on the dress, veil and jewelry you choose, and even some tips for everyday hairstyles!
Carleana is a Michigan hair stylist based in East Lansing (but loves to travel!) with nearly two decades of experience. While in the salon, she loves keeping her client’s hair looking healthy and natural through grey coverage and customized highlighting techniques.
While on location with her bridal business, Hairpins & Happiness, she specializes in bridal and finishing work as well as session and branding work for photo shoots. She also has experience in television, movies and commercial work. Carleana’s work has been featured in The Knot, Wedding Day Magazine, Hour Detroit Magazine, Bustld, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, among others!
