The Power of Influence as you know has 2 sides, good and bad. As disciples of the Lord it is our mandate to follow what is expressed in Matthew 28, when Jesus taught His followers how to influence for good. Church, it is not all of a sudden that the world has become wicked. As the Lord’s followers, we have great power to influence the world, instead of the world influencing us. “Salt” affects its environment by simply being what it is and light affects its environment by simply doing what it does. As His disciples, we must simply be an example of Jesus Christ - transformed, renewed, born again, and consistently radiating the goodness of God by the way we think, behave, and being His spokesman – ‘children of the Kingdom of God’ effecting and influencing the society around us. So as the “salt of the earth”, HOW do we stop bad things from forming and spreading and instead be an influencer of good things that are desirable and beneficial to society?
