Digestible Academia is the BlueSky Thinking podcast where we break down complex academic research into something a bit more digestible. This week we're talking food.

More specifically: why watching sports on TV could make you eat more; why food descriptions can change what you order at a restaurant; and why you might want to avoid popcorn when you’re next at the cinema.

We’re joined by two special guests this week: Alexandre Lopez, an Account Manager at BlueSky Education, and Dr Anne-Kathrin Klesse, Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), who shares her insights on why the presence of food serves as a distraction and takes our mental focus away from enjoyable events.
